Camp John Hay abounds with lush gardens adorned by lovely flowers and charming picnic spots as well as a number of indoor and outdoor leisure or recreational facilities. Its chellenging golf course is not for the faint-hearted. Leisurely strolls around the grounds prove to be romantic or adventuresome.
The Baguio of my memories... Driving up the zigzag road, a little dizzy, we would wait for the scent of pine trees, our signal to open the windows wide and allow the cool mountain air to assault our senses. Up the pathway to a little green and while cottage, onto the verdant carpet of grass strewn with pine cones from the tallest trees reaching for the blue and white sky... there was nothing like it. As the adults unloaded the necessities, we went for the sublime, nature at its purest, at its most inspiring. Night was much awaited, too, for the fireplace, the crisp air that turned our cheeks pink, the stars with a brilliance magnified against a clear midnight blue firmament. The rest of the days were reserved for the walks and rides on horseback, to find adventure unequlaed.

Camp John Hay Masterplan

Camp John Hay rests atop 246 hectares of what is Baguio's most beautiful tract of prime land. Developed by the United States Armed Forces as a rest and recreation gateway exclusive to their troops, today it is enjoyed by visitors to this cool city in the mounstains, dubbed as the summer capital of the Philippines.
